I’m sorry but this whole craze with 3D films is horrible, why do we need 3D tvs and why are they making 3D films, most 3D is awful and is headache inducing and doesn’t enhance the experience at all.
Okay but it’s not like you don’t have the option not to watch it in 3D? 3D is a gimmick (one that can be used well - did you see Life of Pi or Hugo in 3D?) and I definitely prefer 2D, but you have the choice to watch it in either format. Most theatres show two screenings of a big movie that’s in 3D, one show is in 3D and one is in 2D, so it’s not like there isn’t an option for people who don’t like 3D. You don’t have to buy a 3D TV, you don’t have to even acknowledge it, so is there any point in complaining about it? Also, it makes studios a lot more money, and if seeing something like Hugo in 3D will give a studio more money to make more original films then by all means, go for it.
unfollowing me won’t free you from the chains of capitalism
“A film is - or should be - more like music than like fiction. It should be a progression of moods and feelings. The theme, what’s behind the emotion, the meaning, all that comes later.”
— Stanley Kubrick
