"Look what we’re finding out about each other: neither of us have aids, you don’t like your teeth, you have bad taste in movies."
"No I don’t!"
i’ll choose a bad movie where i can see the director/cast trying to make a good movie despite restrictions from studio, script or whatever over a movie that is just average and glossy and boring any day.

I am in here because I am no different from anybody else in here. I made bad choices. I committed a crime. And being in here is no one’s fault but my own.
uhhhh i dunno i’ve been really busy recently so i haven’t had a lot of time to watch movies at home and so when i do i typically just go to my theatre. i guess it’s really just about trying to find a balance between everything for me, and movies are typically a “treat” of sorts for me when i finish something i guess? like half the time i just watch them when i want to but lately i’ve actually been unable to, and sometimes i just don’t wanna watch a bergman film when i get home from school/working so i’ve slacked off a lot. and yeah about the grasp on film….. so i’d say i probably watch 2-3 a week, but i used to watch 5-6. i don’t exactly have a “legitimate grasp i wouldn’t say because theres still a lot of stuff i wanna see, i think it’s just when you set goals that you want and when you wanna get well versed in it, you’ll do it. i didn’t watch nearly 300 movies last year tho. i’d say maybe just branch out more and look and older and more ~influential films i guess like stuff from bergman or wim wenders or kurusowa or whoever! it’s really just researching for a lot of film, and i also think if you wanna have a “legitimate grasp” you should actually read more about it, not just watch it. half the stuff i know is because of how much i read on it, influences, mechanics, structure etc, and theres a plethora of excellent websites/journalists/critics that can be really informative, so i’d say just research some film and read on it!
